Paula Patton, an American actor and producer, is known for her roles as the main character in Mission: Impossible: Ghost Protocol (an action-spy thriller) as well as Precious (a dramatic). Growing up with her family in Los Angeles with a middle-class mother, the actress had plenty of dreams. The mother of her children was fond of watching movies and instilled a passion for film in her young daughter as well. Paula was a part of co-curricular school events, and she was especially interested in drama. Her favorite part was performing in stage productions together with her fellow students. Hamilton Magnet Arts High School staged a variety of plays, and the actress decided acting was her preferred career. She attended The University of Southern California in the summer program, and enjoyed her stint. She was awarded a three-month project making documentaries for PBS. Following the successful completion of the assignment, she began working as an assistant in the production of TV documentaries. Following the completion of her project and completing her documentary, she began producing films. Although she was awed by working in the field, she wanted to become an actor. Her acting career began with a minor role alongside Will Smith in the romantic comedy Hitch. Since then she's been in a variety of films and television shows.
