Kelly Clarkson

KellyKelly Clarkson, in full Kelly Brianne Clarkson, (born on April 24, 1982 in Fort Worth, Texas, U.S.), American artist, singer, as well as a TV personality, who was able to establish herself as a pop rock star following being crowned the most popular TV talent competition American Idol in 2002. Clarkson lived in Burleson, Texas, a suburb within Fort Worth, where her voice was first noticed by the choir instructor at her school when she was a seventh grader. After graduating from high school, Clarkson moved in Los Angeles, where she attempted unsuccessfully to get into the show business. In 2002, after returning to Texas, she became participant on the initial season of the American Idol, a show broadcast by the Fox Broadcasting Company. American Idol, a singing competition where viewers could select their top performer. Clarkson's captivating voice, personality and humor enticed viewers. Clarkson's prize for winning the contest was $1million and an agreement to record with RCA.
